This local specialty of Fujinomiya is famous nationwide. It is made using characteristic steamed noodles with a strong texture and fried "meat scraps” left after straining lard.

Suruga Bay Seafood
Towns from the eastern part of Shizuoka Prefecture to Izu offer an especially rich selection of seafood. Horse mackerel from Numazu and Atami, red bream from Inatori in Higashiizu-cho, and other seafood unique to the area are landed at fishing ports here.

Wasabi
It is traditionally cultivated in Izu City, where clear water flows from Mt. Amagi. Authentic wasabi has subtle sweet and umami undertones accenting its sharp spicy flavor, making for a unique taste you are sure to love.
